The University of Dayton (UD) offers its online MBA program, MBA@Dayton, through the UD School of Business Administration and prepares learners to become strategic, well-rounded leaders who utilize integrity as they impact the business environment.

Tuition and fees

Tuition and fees are subject to change and may increase each academic year. Tuition does not include student fees, technology platform licensing, or support services. Learners are also responsible for travel and accommodation costs related to any in-person immersions or residentials.

Business analytics concentration

Learners are provided the opportunity to focus their studies with a business analytics concentration that will help to develop the project management and analytic skills needed to improve their organization. A concentration in marketing is also available.

MBA@Dayton requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university to apply. With rolling admissions decisions, the earlier you apply, the earlier you will receive a decision. If you apply by the early priority deadline, you will also receive a waiver for the application fee. To complete an application, you will need to submit:

  • Résumé

  • Academic transcripts from all previous colleges or universities

  • Essay and optional statement

  • Letters of recommendation


Immersions

Learners are required to take part in two in-person learning experiences where they will apply classroom learnings to real-world situations. One of the immersions takes place at the University of Dayton campus. Learners are able to choose the location for their second immersion. In the past, second immersions have taken place in Chicago, Illinois; Portland, Oregon; San Jose, California; and Dayton, Ohio.

Frequently asked questions

You do not need to submit GMAT or GRE scores to apply for the MBA@Dayton. However, you may still submit them as part of your application if you believe your scores warrant consideration.

If you’ve earned your bachelor’s degree in any field within the last seven years, you may finish your online MBA in as few as 12 months. Business professionals with eight-plus years of experience who earned their bachelor’s at least eight years prior to applying to the MBA@Dayton may finish the program in 15 months; those with a bachelor’s degree completed at least eight years prior to applying to the MBA@Dayton, but with limited business experience, can finish the program in as few as 18 months.

While all companies may have different preferences, employers generally treat online degrees the same as they would campus-based programs. Most employers care far more about the quality and reputation of the school, and the rigor of the program, than about the delivery format of the degree.

Just like an on-campus MBA, an online MBA teaches practical business theories and principles in areas such as economics, finance, and integrated strategy. An online MBA, however, offers more flexibility — you can complete your online degree from anywhere, often while continuing in your current job.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Additional requirements include a completed online application, official academic transcripts, a current résumé, a professional letter of recommendation, a supplemental essay, and the application fee. International applicants may have additional requirements, including proof of English proficiency.

Learners may select an optional concentration to gain specialized skills in a particular field. MBA@Dayton learners may choose from concentrations in marketing or business analytics.
